Good morning, my lovely creative friends, and apologies for
the delay in my Bloomin’ Crochet-A-Long post. But I just couldn’t write another
blog post until this WIP was complete:
Ta-dah! Da dee dee dah! La dee dah! Yep, my pretty Nordic shawl
has me singing with joy!
I spent yesterday afternoon weavi n g...i n...zzzzzz....
Oh, sorry, I drifted off - by the time I finished, the daylight was gone.
How I would love to show you soothing images of me relaxing
in my garden wearing this beautiful shawl...artistic, well-lit photos of this pastel
item draped casually over the back of a garden swing...but this is England,
this is February, this is the stormiest, greyest, wettest winter in ages. So...
Here is Little Flower, my sleepy little model, watching the
rain in her pyjamas.
She loves this shawl; I might have to make a mini version
for her!
I’ll keep it short n’ sweet today...I need to give my
littlest sweetheart some cuddles. And I need to catch up with what you all are
hooking for the CAL this week, too! Please link up below!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Love,
xoxo Chrissie xoxo

Your shawl is beautiful! You certainly have an eye for colours. I have got this pattern too and am planning to make it for myself using a silver-grey as the main colour.

ReplyDeleteSo, so gorgeous! I've admired this shawl on a few blogs now and I love how each one I've seen has been totally different from the one before, as everyone has used different colours. Yours is really lovely. x
ReplyDeleteChrissie it's gorgeous, you made such a wonderful colour choice no wonder you are singing with joy.

It is fabulous and so is your model. I like the way you get her to wear it and you take the photo, I usually go the other way round and wear the item and then give photographic instructions to a pre-schooler!! Either sway seems to work. I bet you are really pleased. Jo x
ReplyDeleteWow, Chrissie! It's beautiful. I love the colors and your work is so perfect. It's really wonderful and it looks great on your little model too. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines to you too. Aww, I just melted at the sight of your little one wrapped in your shawl. Two beauties in one photo :)
ReplyDeleteIts gorgeous Chrissie!!! Well done, I love the colours and it looks lovely worn by your lovely little model!

I have bought yarn to make this, but have lots to do first, but I am itching to get to it!! Hope that you love wearing it. Happy Valentines Day!! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful and modeled so well by Little Flower.

It looks lovely Chrissie! Happy weekend, xx
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love it. The winter may be wet and windy, but it's a good excuse to get the needles and hooks out, without feeling too guilty.

Aaw Chrissie, it's beee-ooo-tiful! And I definitely think you need to make a mini one for your precious little one too. Love the pretty edging especially - well done you.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy weekend, stay safe & cosy,
love Gilly xx
Hello lovely lady I think you've created a beauty here to match your beautiful self. Absolutely love it!! I'm sure there will be plenty of sunshine in the spring to flaunt this baby, but for now your little model did a Stirling job. I know if it was little Es, there would be no getting it back. Well done you I'm even more excited to start mine now. Sending much love xxx
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is gorgeous! I cannot believe the weather in the UK and US and saw this morning in the news that the two storms are indeed connected over the Atlantic. Wow this shawl at least will keep you in a happy place in such stormy weather.
ReplyDeleteChrissie how heavenly this is and how gorgeous your little Peep looks in it, she could be a model. You have made such a wonderful job of it Chrissie and should be really proud of yourself, I am hoping one day, with lots of practise, I will be able to do half a good a job as you have. Have a wonderful weekend, big hugs and loves, keep cosy and toasty.

You've done a lovely job with your Nordic, lovely and soft colour selection and I love how it looks on Little Flower! Careful though, you might not get it back!
ReplyDeleteSandra x
It is soooo beautiful! I want to make it as well, but have always dithered on what colours to use. Yours are just perfect! I might just copy them:O
ReplyDeleteJenn@JennsCraftyWorld
OH it's just wonderful Chrissie - I LOVE IT! And Little Flower is absolutely gorgeous - I'd love to cuddle her too! Gosh you have so much talent flowing out of those hands of yours, you're amazing! Keep warm and take care, love, Joy xoxo
ReplyDeletePS I've been stitching so can't show any crochet - it's been awhile in fact, but the hook is winking at me so maybe next week. xo
Love your shawl as much as mine! seriously, I so enjoyed crocheting the Nordic shawl. I wish I had used a chartreuse colour rather than yellow in the middle though. Love your soft colours too.
ReplyDeleteIt's very pretty indeed, I really like your colours and the border. It looks quite cute being oversized on your daughter, hope you managed to steal it back from her ;-)
